Project start date: February 2017 - Project end date: February 2017
Project number: 2017-002
Beneficiary: Institut Arno Stern

The Institute Arno Stern’s was created in 2013. Its mission is the dissemination and support of actions, in order to publicize the findings of the educator and researcher Arno Stern. The work of Arno Stern, spanning over 60 years, focuses on the development of spontaneous dispositions of the human being. Natural skills of the human being are threatened by the industrialization of education and the overemphasis of static knowledge. The purpose of the Institut Arno Stern is to help take into consideration those skills, in order to provide sustainable solutions to the serious problems of children in our society, beyond negative ethnic and social distinctions.

The Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation, Delegació a Catalunya, awarded a grant for a Conference by Arno and André Stern in CaixaForum, Barcelona. The Conference has the goal to spread among the pedagogic community of Catalunya the Stern theories about the development of spontaneous dispositions of the human being and the need to protect those skills since the childhood.
CaixaForum will embrace the event, and will program it as an own activity, offering the Auditorium, technical assistance, translation services, communication and dissemination of the event for free.
The date of the Conference will be January 26, 2017.
